28th February Coming soon!!

Hi All,
Just a bit of shameless publicity.... I have been working on a project in collaboration with colleagues from the Library and Learning Services and UELconnect to produce an online information skills tool.
The aptly named info skills will help staff and students in the initial stages of their research. The tool is aimed at students who are writing their first assignments and need help with a few of the fundamental steps in the research process:
Identifying what information you need
How to find information
Evaluating the information
Finally referencing your information correctly
The URL will be announced very shortly. We hope that you will find the resource a useful. We would also really welcome your feedback once you have used the site.

I thought that you might be interested to hear about a report that has just been published. Engineering UK 2011 is an interesting report and contains a wealth of information about trends in Engineering, looking at the supply side and demand side economics, case studies, and indepth analysis of the political and economic landscape in relation to the Engineering sector.
