Up the ANTE ;)

Hi All,
Just to let you know that we now have ANTE fully functioning on our database lists. You can find it on this page: http://www.uel.ac.uk/lls/resources/databaselist.htm
It is particularly useful to Civil Engineering/electrical engineering
ANTE: Abstracts in New Technologies and Engineering (formerly Current Technology Database), is an abstracting and indexing service monitoring publications from the U.K. and the U.S. Coverage includes new technologies such as information technology and computing, electronics, biotechnology, medical technology, as well as engineering (including construction, electrical and chemical engineering) and allied subject areas. Abstracts are available from January 1993 to the present.
Please note that it is only available on campus!
Thanks

Athens self registration

Hi all,
At the moment students are unable to create an Athens account for themselves. Please refer any students to the Library and Learning Services directly as we will have to manually create an Athens account on their behalf.
We are hoping that students will shortly be able to register Athens accounts. Thank you for your help and co-operation.

E-book roadshow

Hi all,
Something to watch out for in the next few months......
The library and Learning Services are planning to have an e-book roadshow to promote our collection of e-books to students. This is provisionally planned for the 12th April 2010. At the roadshow librarians will be demonstrating e-books, how to access and use them directly to students.
Please feel free to come along and please make your students aware of the roadshow.
Thank you!
Ella
