As some of you may be aware every year some of London opens its doors..... it is an amazing opportunity to see some of the capitals finest architecture and feats of engineering close up and first hand. Open House this year has put together an Engineering themed series.
Some features are the:

Blackfriars bridge river tour
London 2012 Velodrome

I wonder if there are any of you out there that are researching in the area of robotics.....

There has been a call from the HEA subject centre for researchers to put in proposals for a paper. For more information please refer to the contents of the e-mail posted below:

"Dear Colleagues

The University of Derby in collaboration with the HEA / ICS invite you to contribute to a practical workshop on the use of robotics in the teaching of computing and mathematics. We are seeking contributions in the form of demonstrations, simulations and practical exercises that you are using, would like to use, would like to develop or think would be a neat idea. If you would like to share these ideas with other like minded colleagues, please get in touch with us. (See dates below.) Formal papers will be considered, but emphasis will be given to the practicalities of how robots in any shape or form can be used to enhance teaching in the subject area.
